Ginunita ngayong araw ang ika-118 anibersaryo ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

Isang seremonya ang indinaos para sa 118th founding anniversary ng PCG sa headquarters nito sa Maynila.

Kabilang sa dumalo si Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur P. Tugade na ginawaran ng arrival honors.

Bahagi naman ng selebrasyon ang pag-turnover sa coast guard ng ng 15-meter vessel mula sa pamahalaan ng Japan.

Ang naturang 15-meter vessel na ipinagkaloob ng Japan sa Pilipinas ay isang anti-terrorism fast boat.
