SC pinagtibay ang probisyon ng batas ukol sa minimum na sweldo ng mga nurse

Pinagtibay ng Korte Suprema ang validity ng probisyon ng batas kung saan nakasaad na hindi dapat mababa sa salary grade 15 ang minimum na sweldo ng mga nurse sa pampublikong ospital.

Sa en banc session, nakasaad sa desisyon ng Supreme Court na isinulat ni Senior Justice Antonio Carpio ang pagpapatibay sa probisyon ng Philippine Nursing Act of 2002.

Pero ayon sa SC Public Information Office, bagamat sinabi ng korte na valid ang probisyon ukol sa salary grade ng mga government nurses, kailangan pa ring magpasa ang Kongreso ng batas para sa implementasyon nito partikular para sa kaukulang pondo sa sahod ng mga nurse.

“Its implementation would necessarily require a law passed by Congress providing the necessary funds for it,” pahayag ng SC PIO.

Matatandaan na sa petisyon ng Ang Nars Party-list noong 2015 ay hiniling nila sa Supreme Court na ipatupad na ng gobyerno ang Section 32 ng Republic Act 9173 o Philippine Nursing Act of 2002.

Nakasaad sa probisyon na ang minimum base pay ng mga nurse na nagtatrabaho sa public health institutions ay dapat na hindi mababa sa salary grade 15.
