Nagpatupad ng visa restriction ang Estados Unidos sa ilang Chinese officials na sangkot sa pang-aabuso umano sa Muslim minorities sa Xinjiang province.
Kabilang sa pinatawan ng sanctions ang ilang Chinese government officials at mga opisyal ng Communist Party.
Una dito sinabi ng administrasyon ni US President Donald Trump na ang mga opisyal ay sangkot sa crackdown na ipinatutupad ng China sa mga Muslim,.
Hindi naman pinangalanan ng US State Department ang mga opisyal ng China na sakop ng visa restrictions.
