53 kilo ng pinatuyong seahorse nakumpiska sa Mactan Airport
Nakumpiska ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang kilo-kilong pinatuyong seahorse sa Terminal 2 ng Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA).
Ayon sa BOC at sa mga tauhan ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Transnational Aviation Support Services, Inc. (TASSI) at Counter-Terrorist Unit (CTU) aabot sa 53 kilo ng dried seahorses ang naharang mula sa tatlong pasahero na pawang Chinese nationals.
Nabatid na patungo ng Macau ang tatlong dayuhan.
Sa isinagawang physical examination ay natuklasan ang mga pinatuyong seahorse sa bagahe ng tatlo.
Kinumpiska ng mga otoridad ang dried seahorses at ang mga pasahero ay mahaharap sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act No. 8550 o ang Philippine Fisheries Code of 1998, Fisheries Administrative Order (FAO) No. 233 at Republic Act No. 10654 o An Act to Prevent, Deter and Eliminate Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing.
