PNP, NBI, PDEA at AFP magtatayo ng intelligence office sa loob ng bilibid
Para maiwasan ang illegal drug trade sa katiwalian sa loob ng New Bilibid Prisons ay nagtayo ng intelligence unit ang ilang law enforcement agencies sa bansa.
Inilunsad kanina ang Quad-Intel Force Liaison Office sa loob ng NBP Reservation sa Barangay Poblacion, Muntinlupa City na dinaluhan nina Bureau of Corrections Director General Gerald Bantag, National Capital Region Police Office director Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, Lt. Col. Eugene Villaluz ng AFP Joint Task Force – NCR, at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Investigation Agent 5 Beltran Lacal Jr.
Ang Quad-Intel Force ay pinag-isang pwersa ng NCRPO, PDEA-NCR, JTF-NCR, at ng National Bureau of Investigation-NCR na magpapalitan ng impormasyon kaugnay sa war on drugs ng pamahalaan at kampanya sa ilang mga sindikato sa bansa.
Sinabi ni NCRPO Director Guillermo Eleazar na ang liaison office sa loob ng bilibid ay magsisilbing tenga at mata ng gobyerno sa mga presong nasa loob ng kulungan na posible pa ring nagmamando sa ilan sa kanilang mga tauhan sa labas ng NBP.
Ang Quad-Intel Force ay magbibigay rin ng impormasyon sa BuCor kaugnay sa posibleng koneksyon ng ilang mga bilanggo sa ilang mga criminal elements sa bansa.
“We will continue to monitor the police officers here because we want to help, these police officers should not be tempted [to do irregular practices] as this has been the problem here at BuCor”, dagdag pa ni Eleazar.
