Duterte posibleng dumalo sa enthronement ng Japanese emperor
Nagpahayag ng interes si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na dumalo sa enthronement ni bagong Japanese Emperor Naruhito sa October 22.
Ito ay matapos unang ianunsyo ng Palasyo ng Malacañang na hindi dadalo ang presidente sa seremonya dahil sa busy schedule nito.
Pero sa press briefing sa Davao City araw ng Linggo, iginiit ni Duterte na ang Japan ay isa mga bansa na lagi at nauunang tumulong sa Pilipinas.
Naniniwala ang pangulo na nararapat siyang dumalo sa enthronement ng Japanese emperor kahit kalahating araw lang.
Sinabi naman ni Duterte na wala siyang planong magdala ng malaking delegasyon lalo’t siya lang naman ang inimbitahan.
“You know, Japan has… Well, one of the countries na talagang tumutulong sa atin, nauuna pa. And just my personal feeling na, my sentiment, that I should be there even just for a half a day, but very lean. Tutal, ako lang man siguro ang iniimbita. Hindi na ako magdala nang maraming tao. There’s nothing to discuss there except to be a witness to the enthronement of the new Emperor,” ayon sa presidente.
Si Emperor Naruhito ay pumalit sa kanyang ama na si Akihito noong May 1.
