AFP, US military isasagawa ang ikatlong ‘KAMANDAG’ exercises sa October 9-18
Inanunsyo ng US embassy sa Maynila ang pagdaraos ng US at Philippine militaries ng ikatlong KAMANDAG exercises sa October 9 hanggang 18.
Ayon sa US embassy, layon ng pagsasanay na maitaguyod ang “multinational military interoperability, readiness, and capabilities”.
Isasagawa ang exercises sa iba’t ibang training sites sa Luzon at Palawan.
Isasagawa ng US at Philippine forces sa KAMANDAG ang amphibious operations, live-fire training, urban operations, aviation operations, counterterrorism response operations, at humanitarian assistance and disaster relief missions.
Unang beses naman ngayong taon ang pagsasagawa ng “assault amphibious vehicle training” at “low-altitude air defense training and threat reaction training”.
Ang KAMANDAG ay may kahulugang “Kaagapay Ng Mga Mandirigma Ng Dagat”.
Inilunsad ito ng Pilipinas para ipakita ang ugnayan ng US at Philippine militaries at mapalakas ang abilidad sa pagresponde sa mga krisis sa Indo-Pacific region.
