Alinsunod sa utos ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na balasahan sa New Bilibid Prison (NBP), inutos ni Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) chief Gerald Bantag ang pagsibak sa 300 na mga gwardya sa Bilibid sa Muntinlupa.
Ang tinanggal na mga BuCor guards ay nakatalaga sa maximum security compound ng NBP.
Ayon kay Bantag, may ilang jail guards ang maiiwan pero hindi tiyak kung papayagan silang bumalik sa BuCor.
Hakbang ito ng BuCor chief kasunod ng naging kontrobersya sa pagpapalaya ng mga convicts dahil sa good conduct time allowance (GCTA).
Ang direktiba ay ipinatupad ni Bantag bilang bagong pinuno ng BuCor kapalit ni Nicanor Faeldon.
