Duterte planong magtayo ng Orthodox Church sa Pilipinas
Kasabay ng muling batikos sa Simbahang Katolika dahil sa umanoy pag-atake laban sa kanya, iimbitahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na bumisita sa Pilipinas ang mga orthodox missionaries sa Russia.
Sa question and answer portion ng Valdai Forum sa Sochi City, sinabi ng pangulo na plano niyang maghanap ng lugar sa bansa kung saan pwedeng magtayo ng Orthodox Church.
“I’m planning to invite the Russian Orthodox missionaries to come to the Philippines so that we can look for a place where we can build the Orthodox Church,” ani Duterte.
Ang Orthodox Church ay ang pangalawang pinakamalaking Christian church sa buong mundo na mayroong milyong-milyong mga miyembro.
Ang imbitasyon ni Duterte ay kasunod ng umanoy batikos ng mga obispo sa war on drugs ng gobyerno.
Sa forum ay sinabi pa ng pangulo na isyu sa Pilipinas na isa siyang mamamatay-tao.
Gayunman ay tiniyak ni Duterte na mayroon naman siyang relihiyon at hindi siya “killer.”
Iginiit pa ng pangulo na mayroon din siyang sariling Diyos.
“This has been the issue in the Philippines, that they have a President who’s a murderer. I assure you. I have a religion…And they say that, well, bishops and all of this… They’ve been attacking me. And I said, ‘Your religion is not… I have my own God,” dagdag ni Duterte.
