Nagwagi ang Pilipinas kontra sa Vietnam sa unang laro sa Asean Volleyball Grand Prix second leg sa Laguna, araw ng Biyernes.
Nanalo ang Pilipinas sa iskor na 25-12, 25-23 at 25-21 sa kabila ng maiksing panahon ng koponan para makapag-ensayo.
Pinangunahan ni Alyssa Valdez ang laro matapos makapagtala ng 13 points.
Nakapag-ambag din sa laro sina Ces Molina at Mylene Paat.
Susunod namang makakaharap ng Pilipinas sa powerhouse team na Thailand sa Sabado, October 5, at Indonesia sa Linggo, October 6.
