Kapwa whistleblowers sa PhilHealth “ghost claims” ang dinakip sa Quezon City na dating empleyado ng WellMed Dialysis Center.
Kinumpirma ni Atty. Harry Roque na ang dinakip na sina Edwin Roberto at Leizel De Leon ay whistleblowers sa kinasasangkutang anomalya ng WellMed at PhilHealth pero naalis ito sa Witness Protection Program (WPP) ng pamahalaan.
Sinabi ni Roque na ibinasura kasi ng korte ang kaso laban sa mga opisyal ng WellMed dahil sa kawalan ng hurisdiksyon sa kaso kaya nawalan ng benepisyo sa ilalim ng WPP ang dalawa.
Naihain na muli ang kaso laban sa WellMedd sa Metropolitan Trial Court (MeTC).
Ang testimonya nina Roberto at De Leon ang nagbunsod sa pagkakadiskubre ng anomalya sa PhilHealth.
Si WellMed owner Bryan Sy ay una nang inaresto sa bisa ng warrant of arrestna inilabas ng he Manila Metropolitan Trial Court pero nakalaya matapos magpiyansa.
