2 opisyal ng BuCor, pina-contempt kaugnay ng ‘GCTA for sale’
Pina-contempt ni Senator Richard Gordon ang dalawang opisyal ng Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) dahil sa umanoy pagsisinungaling sa imbestigasyon ng sinasabing bentahan ng good conduct time allowance (GCTA) sa National Bilibid Prison (NBP).
Hakbang ito ni Gordon sa pagdinig sa Senado araw ng Huwebes laban kina Veronica Buño at Mabel Bansil matapos mapatunayan ang kanilang komunikasyon kay Yolanda Camilon, ang misis ng inmate na si Godfrey Gamboa.
Una nang sinabi ni Camilon sa hearing ng Senate blue ribbon committee na sa pamamagitan ng mga text messages ang negosasyon niya kina Buño at Bansil para sa paglaya ng kanyang asawa.
Itinanggi ito ng dalawang BuCor officials pero sinabi ni National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) chief Dante Gierran na nakumpirma ng kanilang Mobile Phone Forensic Investigation unit ang komunikasyon ng dalawa kay Camilon.
Inutos ng senador na makulong sina Buño at Bansil sa Senado imbes na sa NBP dahil delikado anya ang mga ito sa Muntinlupa.
“You are facing perjury charge and contempt charges. Ico-contempt ko na kayo rito kasi delikado na kayo sa Muntinlupa…The Chair votes to cite you in contempt. I will call it a humanitarian contempt, so you can think about it,” ani Gordon.
