Samu’t saring baril at bala nakumpiska sa loob ng barko sa isang Pier sa Northern Samar
Arestado ang isang opisyal ng barko nang mahulihan ng baril na walang lisensya at mga bala sa Sta. Clara port sa Allen, Northern Samar.
Kinilala ang naaresto na si Jhunry Manulat, 40-anyos na second mate crew ng M/V Nathan Matthew at residente ng Problacion, Danao sa Cebu City.
Nadiskubre ang mga armas nang magsasagawa ng routine inspection ang Philippine Coast Guard at tauhan ng Northern Samar Police sa loob ng barko bandang alas-2:30 Miyerkules (Oct. 2) ng hapon.
Nakuha sa loob ng cabin ang isang caliber .45 pistol, isang 357 Magnum revolver, 2 magazines para sa caliber .45 pistol, 31 bala ng caliber .45 pistol, 33 bala ng caliber .9mm, 6 na bala ng caliber .38 revolver, 2 bala ng caliber .22, 2 optical sights, at isang gun suppressor.
Si Manulat ay mahaharap sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 10591 o “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.”
