Limang Pinoy na nasugatan sa gumuhong tulay sa Taiwan nabigyan na ng tulong pinansyal

Tiniyak ng Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) sa Taiwan na nabibigyang tulong ang mga Pinoy na nasugatan sa gumuhong tulay sa Yilan County.

Ayon sa pahayag ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), kahapon, Miyerkules (Oct. 2) ay nagtungo sa pinangyarihan ng insidente ang mga opisyal ng Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) at MECO Assistance-To-Nationals.

Nadatnan pa ng mga opisyal ang tatlong fishing boats na nasa ilalim pa rin ng gumuhong tulay.

Ayon kay MECO Labor Attaché at Director of Labor Affairs Atty. Cesar L. Chavez, Jr. pinagkalooban na ng tulong-pinansyal ng POLO ang mga nasugatang Pinoy.

Lahat naman ng bayarin sa kanilang pagpapa-ospital ay sinagot ng kanilang employers.

Tiniyak din ni Chavez na agad ipoproseso ang repatriation sa mga labi ng dalawang Pinoy na nasawi sa nasabing insidente.

Patuloy naman ang paghahanap sa isa pang nawawalang Pinoy.
