Duterte aaksyon sa isyu kay Albayalde base sa imbestigasyon ng DILG
Hihintayin ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na matapos ang imbestigasyon ng Senado kay Philippine National Police (PNP) chief General Oscar Albayalde.
Iniimbestigahan ng Senado ang umanoy pagkasangkot ni Albayalde sa isyu ng “ninja cops” matapos makwestyon ang papel nito sa anti-drugs operation noong 2013 noong siya ng Police Provincial Director ng Pampanga.
Sa kanyang pre-departure speech bago pumunta sa Russia Martes ng gabi, sinabi ng pangulo na may separation of powers ang Executive at Legislative Departments kaya hahayaan muna niya na matapos ang imbestigasyon ng Senado.
“In obedience to the separation of powers and respect of each other departments, I should allow the Senate to complete its investigation,” ani Duterte.
Ayon sa pangulo, hindi sakop ang ehekutibo ng anumang magiging resulta ng imbestigasyon ng Senado.
Ang due process anya ay kapag nakarating na ang isyu kay Interior Secretary Eduardo Año at saka niya ito aaksyunan batay sa rekomendasyon ng kalihim.
“The most proper thing to do which is in line with procedural due process is to await for the closure of the investigation by the Senate and when it’s forwarded to me since it is under, the police are under DILG, the bureau under Secretary Año,” dagdag ng pangulo.
Pahayag ito ng pangulo kasunod ng sinabi ni dating CIDG chief at ngayon ay Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong sa Senado na nagkaroon umano si Albayalde ng SUV matapos ang pagkumpiska sa milyong pisong halaga ng droga at pagka-aresto sa isang Chinese drug suspect noong 2013, bagay na itinanggi ng PNP chief.
