Closure order sa isang POGO operator binawi na ng BIR
Isang linggo matapos ipasara binawi na ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) ang inilabas nitong closure order laban sa isang Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) sa Quezon City.
Sa kautusan ng BIR na nilagdaan ni Deputy Commissioner Arnel Guballa, nakasaad na binabawi na ang closure order sa Great Empire Gaming and Amusement Corporation.
Ito ay matapos na mag-alok ang naturang POGO operator na bayaran na ang P250 million na balanse sa buwis sa loob ng tatlong buwan.
Ayon sa BIR, ma-iisyu ng post dated checks ang Great Empire para mabayaran ang balanse hanggang sa katapusan ng Disyembre.
Sinabi ni BIR chief Cesar Dulay na inaprubahan niya ang rekomendasyon ng POGO Task Force para tanggapin ang alok ng kumpanya.
Noong Sept. 25 ay isinilbi ng BIR ang closure order sa Great Empire sa Bagumbayan sa Quezon City.
Sakop din ng pagbawi ng closure order ang establisyimento ng Freat Empire sa Gateway Hub sa Subic Bay Freeport at sa Aseana City sa Baclaran, Paranaque.
