Malacañang: Kanselasyon ng passport ni ‘Manila drug queen’, “good idea”

Welcome sa Palasyo ng Malacañang ang suhestyon ni Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) na kanselahin ang passport ng umano’y ‘Manila drug queen’ na si Guia Gomez.

Sa panayam ng media araw ng Lunes, sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo na isang magandang ideya ang mungkahing pagkansela sa passport ni Gomez gayong nahaharap ito sa mga arrest warrant.

“I understand she’s facing warrants of arrest. So if she is facing warrants of arrest that would be a good idea (to cancel her passport),” ani Panelo.

Bagaman pabor ang kalihim, sinabi naman nitong nasa pagpapasya ito ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

Magugunitang inaakusahan si Castro ng pagbili sa mga ‘recycled drugs’ ng mga ninja cops.

Sa ngayon ay may mga ulat na nasa Estados Unidos na ito.

Sa ilalim ng Philippine Passport Act, may kapangyarihan ang kalihim ng DFA na magkansela ng passport upang isaalang-alang ang national security o kung ang passport holder ay pugante ng batas.

Una nang sinabi ni Drilon na parang walang balak bumalik ng bansa si Castro para harapin ang kanyang mga kasong may kaugnayan sa droga.

Dahil dito ay maituturing na umanong pugante si Castro.

“It appears that Mrs. Castro does not intend to return to the country and face the warrants of arrest issued against her since 2002 for violation of Republic Act 6425 or the Dangerous Drugs Act. Hence, she is fugitive from justice,” ani Drilon.
