35 pang napalayang convicts na sumuko, muling pinalaya

Tatlumput-lima pang mga convicts na napalaya at sumuko ang muling pinalaya ng Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).

Ayon kay Justice Undersecretary Markk Perete, kinumpirma ng BuCor ang pagpapalaya ng ikatlong batch ng surrenderers.

Unang pinalaya ang 52 convicts nitong weekend, sumunod ang 35 na iba kaya nasa 87 na ang kabuuang bilang ng persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) na muling pinalaya.

Sinabi ni Perete na mayroong 27 iba pang convicts ang ire-review ng Oversight Committee.

Muling pinalaya ang naturang mga convicts matapos silang sumuko bilang pagsunod sa utos ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para sa recomputation ng kanilang time allowances.

Mahigit 2,000 convicts ang napalaya sa ilalim ng good conduct time allowance (GCTA law kabilang ang mga nahatulan dahil sa heinous crimes, gayundin iyong mga dahil sa acquittal, nabigyan ng parole at conditional pardon.
