Tigil-pasada hindi makakapigil sa PUV modernization ayon sa LTFRB
Iginiit ni Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) chairman Martin Delgra na hindi makakapigil ang anumang strike o rally gaya ng tigil-pasada sa nakakasang modernisasyon ng pampublikong sasakyan gaya ng jeepney.
Ayon kay Delgra, tuloy ang modernization program dahil utos ito ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at ng Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTr).
“What I can say is that the implementation of the PUV-MP will continue because that is the firm directive of the President and the DOTR to continue to implement it. We have been waiting for this for so long,” pahayag ni Delgra sa press conference LTFRB office araw ng Lunes.
Paliwanag ng opisyal, komprehensibo ang PUV modernization program kaya sakop nito ang lahat ng aspeto ng public transport.
Pahayag ito ni Delgra kasabay ng tigil-pasada ng ilang transport groups bilang protesta sa naturang hakbang ng gobyerno.
Una nang sinabi ng LTFRB na posibleng tanggalan ng prangkisa ang PUV na sumali sa transport strike.
