27 convicts na sumuko nakatakdang palayain muli

Madaragdagan pa ang bilang ng mga convicts na nakatakdang palayain ng Department of Justice (DOJ) matapos sumuko sa ultimatum ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Sa isang pahayag araw ng Linggo, sinabi ni Justice Undersecretary Markk Perete na nairekomenda na sa oversight committee ang pagpapalaya sa 27 pang persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).

Kung papayagan, aabot na sa 114 ang kabuuang nilang surrenderees na muling makalalaya.

Noong Biyernes, una nang pinalaya ng DOJ ang 52 bilanggo matapos maberipika na ‘valid’ ang kanilang pagkakalabas ng kulungan.

Magugunitang pinasuko sa loob ng 15 araw ang 1,914 heinous crimes convicts na nakalaya dahil sa Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) law.

Gayunman, umabot sa 2,221 ang sumuko dahilan para isailalim sa masusing beripikasyon ang bawat PDL.
