Eleazar: Pagdami ng turista sa Metro Manila dahil sa maayos na peace and order
Inihayag ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) na ang mas maayos na peace and order situation sa Metro Manila ang isa sa mga dahilan ng pagdami ng turista sa Metro Manila.
Sa press briefing ng Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), sinabi ni NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar na umabot sa mahigit-kumulang 38 milyong turista ang naitala ng Department of Tourism (DOT) at kanilang police districts sa Metro Manila.
Ang nasabing bilang ay naitala mula buwan ng Enero hanggang Agosto ngayong 2019.
Dumami ang bilang ng mga turista sa Metro Manila makaraang bumaba nang 58 porsyento ang crime volume simula taong 2016.
Ayon kay Eleazar, magiging maganda ang epekto nito hindi lamang sa turismo kundi maging sa ekonomiya at developments sa bansa.
Hinikayat naman ng NCRPO chief ang mga domestic at foreign tourist na makiisa sa tourism activities sa Metro Manila.
