DENR Sec. Roy Cimatu nag-inspeksyon sa Pasig River
Nag-inspeksyon sa Pasig River si Environment Sec. Roy Cimatu kasama si Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Danilo Lim at mga opisyal ng Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC) araw ng Miyerkules.
Ito ay matapos ang utos ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na linisin ang ilog.
Sa inter-agency inspection sa Pasig River na umabot mula Manila Bay hanggang Marikina River, sumalubong kina Cimatu ang mga basura, dumi ng informal settlers sa Baseco at Del Pan, at tugboats na ilan ay pagmamay-ari pa ng gobyerno.
Bukod pa ito sa mga industrial sites at condominiums na nagtatapon ng harmful substances at wasterwater sa ilog.
Ayon kay Cimatu, nasa adjudication board na ng DENR ang mga notice of violation ng mga establisyimentong may paglabag.
Dagdag pa ng kalihim, umuusad na rin ang pagpapatupad ng 10-meter easement at tinatrabaho na ito ng MMDA at PRRC.
Magugunitang isinailalim na ni Pangulong Duterte sa DENR ang pamumuno sa PRRC matapos sibakin si dating PRRC executive director Jose Antonio Goitia dahil sa alegasyon ng korapsyon.
