Unang batch ng higit 300 non-GCTA surrenderees palalayain ngayong araw

Nakatakdang palayain ng Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) ang unang batch ng higit 300 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) na naberipika nang napalaya hindi dahil sa good conduct time allowance (GCTA).

Sa panayam ng media kay Department of Justice (DOJ) Undersecretary and spokesperson Markk Perete araw ng Miyerkules, sinabing for immediate release ang 300 na wala namang kinalaman sa GCTA.

“These are the non-GCTA related cases for immediate release,” ani Perete.

“The Oversight Committee on Corrections has constituted a panel to verify each and every release. We have met in the past days and will meet again this afternoon with the relevant BuCor officers whose task is to justify each and every recommendation for release,” ani Perete.

“It’s a tedious process but called for under the circumstances,” dagdag ng DOJ official.
