Emergency powers para matugunan ang traffic, hindi na ipipilit ng DOTr

Hindi na ipipilit sa senado ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) ang paghirit ng emergency powers para masolusyunan ang traffic sa Metro Manila.

Ayon kay DOTr Undersecretary for Road and Transport Infrastructure Mark de Leon, sinabi na ni Transportation Sec. Arthur Tugade na hindi na hihilingin ang emergency powers para kay Pangulong Duterte.

Ito ay dahil mismong si Pangulong Duterte na rin ang nagsabi na hindi na niya ipipilit ang emergency powers.

Ipinaalam na rin ito ng DOTr sa Senate public services committee na pinamumunuan ni Senator Grace Poe sa idinaos na technical working group (TWG) meeting.

Magugunitang sa idinaos na pagdinig ng komite noong Sept. 10 ay nagkasagutan pa sina Senator Poe at Tugade hinggil sa nasabing usapin.
