Ayon sa Phivolcs, ang episentro ng lindol ay sa layong pitong kilometro Timog-Kanluran ng Dauis.
May lalim itong 11 kilometro at tectonic ang pinagmulan.
Hindi naman nagdulot ng pinsala sa ari-arian ang lindol at wala ring inaasahang aftershocks.
