Año sinisi ang BuCor sa maling listahan ng mga convicts na napalaya dahil sa GCTA
Pinuna ni Interior Secretary Eduardo Año ang maling listahan ng Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) ng mga convicts na napalaya dahil sa good conduct time allowance (GCTA) law at dapat ay muling arestuhin.
Ayon kay Año, hindi malinis ang listahan ng BuCor kaya itinigil mula ang pag-aresto sa mga convicts na hindi sumuko alinsunod sa deadline ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Nais ng kalihim na magsumite muna ang BuCor ng malinis na listahan kung sinong mga convicts ang dapat na muling arestuhin.
“BuCor is the real culprit here. They don’t have good records. They don’t have a good list,” pahayag ni Año sa press briefing sa Camp Crame.
Ayon sa opisyal, sumasailalim sa validation ang listahan na naglalaman ng pangalan ng mga convicts na maagang napalaya dahil sa executive clemency at parole at hindi dahil sa GCTA law.
Patuloy anya ang monitoring ng pulisya sa mga convicts na napalaya pero dapat munang hintayin ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang updated na listahan ng BuCor saka itutuloy ang pag-aresto sa mga ito.
