DILG nais tiyakin na drug-free ang BJMP

Inihayag ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) na mayroong kasuduan ang Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at ang Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) kaugnay sa pagsasagawa ng regular na drug-clearing operation sa lahat ng mga bilangguan sa bansa.

Ayon kay DILG Secretary Eduardo Año, ito ay para matiyak na drug-free ang lahat ng pasilidad ng BJMP sa bansa.

Kasama aniya sa kasuduan ang pagsasagawa ng regular na “Oplan Greyhound” na ginawa na sa BJMP-National Capital Region.

Ipinaliwanag ni Año na para madeklarang drug-free ang isang jail facility, kailangan nitong makasunod sa pamantayan at pangangailangan na itinakda ng mga ahensya tulad ng PDEA at Philippine National Police (PNP).

Kamakailan, nagsagawa ang BJMP-NCR ng surprise drug test sa 63 na mga pinuno at warden ng mga kulungan.
