NCRPO tracker teams naaresto ang 5 convicts na napalaya sa ilalim ng GCTA

Limang convicts na napalaya dahil sa good conduct time allowance (GCTA) law ang naaresto ng tracker teams ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) ilang oras matapos ang deadline.

Nahuli ang limang convicts sa operasyon ng NCRPO tracker teams mula sa 26 police stations sa Metro Manila.

Ayon kay NCRPO chief Major General Guillermo Eleazar, naaresto ang sumusunod: Ernesto Zaldivar, 64 anyos na nakulong dahil kasong rape at nahuli sa bahay nito sa Makati; Rolando Cano, 46 anyos na may kasong rape at naaresto sa Maynila; Jose Lozada, 72 anyos na may kasong rape at naaresto sa Maynila; Cezar Pingco, 22 anyos na may kasong rape at naaresto sa Muntinlupa; at Bonifacio Domingo, 49 anyos na may kasong qualified rape at naaresto sa Bulacan.

Ang lima ay maling napalaya dahil sa GCTA law at hindi sumuko hanggang matapos ang deadline ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte noong September 19.

Kasama ang mga ito sa natitirang 176 convicts na itinuturing ng pugante dahil sa kabiguang sumuko at ngayon ay subject ng warrantless arrest.

Binuo ni Eleazar ang tracker teams para tugisin ang mga napalayang convicts.

“I am confident that our people will be encouraged to come forward and present information to our authorities of their knowledge on these convicts. To our tracker teams, let us get our acts together to support the President’s command to hunt the said convicts erroneously released due to the GCTA law,” ani Eleazar.

Iti-turn over ng NCRPO ang mga naaresto sa Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) sa New Bilibid Prison (NBP), Muntinlupa City matapos ang documentation.

Samantala, magpapatuloy ang manhunt operations ng NCRPO tracker teams para matukoy ang lokasyon ng mga pugante para sila ay maibalik sa kulungan.
