Mahigit 2,000 nakalaya dahil sa GCTA sumuko na ayon sa DOJ
Umabot na sa 2,009 na convicts na nakalaya dahil sa good conduct time allowance (GCTA) ang sumuko sa mga otoridad.
Ayon kay Department of Justice (DOJ) Undersecretary Markk Perete, 1,773 sa mga ito ay nasa hurisdiksyon na ng Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), habang 236 ang nasa Philippine National Police (PNP).
Dahil nasa 2,009 na ang bilang ng mga sumuko, lagpas na ito sa 1,914 na convicts na unang sinabi ng BuCor na kailangang sumuko.
Ayon kay Perete, kaya mahalagang malinaw ang listahan ng mga dapat na sumuko.
Ang bilang na 1,914 convicts ay pawang nahatulan sa heinous crimes na nakalaya dahil sa GCTA.
