Ilang barko ng Pilipinas muling hinarang ng Chinese Coast Guard sa West Phil. Sea

Kinumpirma ng Department of National Defense na hinarang ng Chinese Coast Guard ang tatlong Philippine civilian vessels na magdadala sana ng supply sa mga tauhan ng militar sa BRP Sierra Madre in Ayungin (Second Thomas) Shoal sa West Philippine Sea.

Ang nasabing lumang barko ang nagsisilbing outpost ng Philippine Navy sa nasabing teritoryo ng bansa.

Sinabi ni DND Usec. Cardozo Luna na nangyari ang insidente noong May 14, kung saan ay hinarang ng barko ng China na may bow number 3305 ang tatlong barko ng bansa.

Dinikitan rin ng barko ng China ang nasabing mga civilian vessels sa layong 1,600 yards lamang.

Nangyari ang nasabing enkwentro ilang linggo bago ang June 9 Recto Bank incident kung saan ay binangga ng isang Chinese vessel ang Gem-Ver 1 na isang Philippine fishing vessel.

Ipinaliwanag rin ng DND na naka-dokumento ang lahat ng mga pangyayari sa West Philippine Sea na kinasasangkutan ng mga barko ng mga claimant-countries.
