P900,000 na halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo nakumpiska sa Zamboanga Pier

Nasabat ng mga tauhan ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang nasa P900,000 na halaga ng mga smuggled na sigarilyo sa isang pier sa Zamboanga City.

Ang mga kargamento ay lulan ng dalawang hatcback car nang maharang sa Barangay Zone 4 malapit sa pantalan.

Ayon kay NBI Region 9 director Moises Tamayo galing ng Jolo, Sulu ang mga sigarilyo na may naka-tatak na “locally manufactured” at “for export” taglay ang brand ng tobacco products na ginagawa sa Pilipinas.

Kasama sa pagkakasabat ng mga produkto ang pagkaka-aresto sa tatlo katao.

Nakatakdang kasuhan ng paglabag sa customs code, national internal revenue code ang may-ari ng nasabing kargamento.
