Personal choice umano ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Gen. Gerald Bantag para maupong bagong pinuno ng Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).

Ayon kay Senator Bong Go, may tiwala ang pangulo na malilinis ni Bantag ang pambansang piitan na nababalot ngayon ng kontrobersyal na GCTA law.
