2 pang convicts sa kasong paggahasa at pagpatay sa magkapatid na Chiong sumuko na

Isang gabi bago matapos ang deadline ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, sumuko ang dalawa pang convicts sa kasong paggahasa at pagpatay sa magkapatid na Marijoy at Jacqueline Chiong.

Ayon kay Justice Undersecretary Markk Parete, sumuko na sina James Anthony Uy at Josman Aznar.

Sina Uy at Aznar ay kasama sa mga convicts na napalaya dahil sa Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) Law.

Dumating ang dalawa sa Gate 1 ng New Bilibid Prison (NBP) alas 6:30 Miyerkules ng gabi.

Una nang sumuko sina Ariel Balasag at Alberto Caño na kasamang nahatulan sa Chiong rape-slay case noong 1997.

Habang 1999 nang mahatulan ang kapwa akusado nilang sina Rowen Adlawan, James Andrew Uy at Francisco Juan “Paco” Larrañaga na itinutuloy ang hatol sa Spain.

Sa revised Implementing Rules and Regulation (IRR) ng GCTA Law ay hindi na pwedeng makalaya ang mga convicts ng heinous crime gaya ng mga convicts sa Chiong case.
