Malasakit program substitute bill lusot sa committee level sa Kamara
Pasado na sa House Committee on Health ang substitute bill na layong bumuo ng Malasakit Program at maitayo ang Malasakit Centers sa mga ospital.
Sa pulong ng komite, inaprubahan ang Malasakit Program Act na tumutugma rin sa layunin ng Universal Healthcare Law.
Layunin ng programa na matulungan ang mga walang kakayahan na mga pasyente na makapagpaospital o makapagpagamot.
Nakasaad pa sa panukala na sakop nito ang medical services na hindi binabayaran ng PhilHealth tulad ng laboratory, imaging at iba pang diagnostic procedures; mga gamot; supplies; orthopedic at assistive devices, prosthesis, blood at blood products; dental services; at medical at surgical procedures.
Sakop din ng Malasakit Program Act ang post hospitalization rehabilitation services, aftercare program, mental at psychological support; bayarin sa ospital pati na ang professional fees at iba pang medical, health, documentary at kaugnay na serbisyo na sinisingil ng mga ospital.
Ang Malasakit Center ang nagsisilbing one-stop-shop para sa mga pasyenteng nangangailangan ng financial assistance pero hindi sila sakop ng benepisyo ng PhilHealth.
Sa ngayon ay mayroong hindi bababa sa 35 Malasakit Centers ang nakabukas sa iba’t-ibang ospital sa bansa
