Total ban sa baboy at pork products galing Luzon ipinatupad sa Mandaue City
Nagpatupad ng total ban ang city government ng Mandaue sa pagpasok ng hogs at pork products na galing sa Luzon.
Ito ay upang maiwasang makapasok sa lungsod ang African Swine Fever (ASF).
Inilabas ni Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes ang Executive Order No. 29 na nagpapatupad ng total ban sa mga buhay na baboy at sa mga pork product na magmumula sa lahat ng lalawigan sa Luzon.
Nakasaad din sa utos na pinagbabawalan ang mga restaurant at hotel sa Mandaue City sa pagbebenta ng mga tirang pagkain o “swill” para sa mga hog raiser upang maiwasan ang impeksyon.
Papayagan naman ang pagpasok ng baboy at pork products kung galing ito sa Visayas at Mindanao basta’t nakatugon sa lahat ng requirements gaya ng veterinary health certificate mula sa provincial veterinary office sa pinagmulang probinsya, shipping permit at livestock handlers permit.
