Mga sumukong napalaya dahil sa GCTA law umabot na sa halos 500 – PNP
Umabot na sa halos 500 na presong nakalaya nang dahil sa Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) ang sumuko sa mga otoridad.
Sa datos ng Philippine National Police (PNP) alas 7:00 ng umaga ng Martes, Sept. 17 ay 457 na convicts na ang sumuko.
Ito ay mula nang ilabas ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang kaniyang ultimatum sa mga nakalayang convicts dahil sa GCTA law.
Narito ang bilang at mga kaso ng sumukong mga preso:
141 may kasong murder
136 may kasong rape
47 ang may kasong robbery with homicide’
29 ang homicide
17 ang murder and frustrated murder
17 din ang drug-related cases
15 ang may kasong rape with homicide
10 ang robbery with rape
9 ang parricide
8 naman ang frustrated homicide
Mayroon ding mga sumuko na sangkot sa mga sumusunod na kaso:

attempted rape with homicide
abduction with rape
attempted rape
kidnapping
acts of lasciviousness
illegal gambling
carnapping
carnapping with homicide
rape with murder
rape and arson
kidnapping with murder
paglabag sa election gun ban
illegal possession of firearms
theft
violence against women and children
at serious physical injury
Ayon sa PNP, kasama sa kanilang datos ang mga sumusukong convicts sa non-heinous crimes at bahala na umano ang Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) sa pagproseso sa kanila.
Samantala, sa hiwalay na datos ng BuCor ay 612 na presong nakalaya nang dahil sa GCTA ang sumuko na.
