Anomalya sa TESDA posibleng dahilan ng budget cut ayon kay Minority Leader Abante
Naniniwala si House Minority Leader Benny Abante na posibleng sa mga kinasangkutang anomalya sa TESDA ang dahilan kaya tinapyasan ito ng pondo sa 2020 ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
Sa budget deliberation sa plenaryo, tinukoy ni Abante ang 2018 Commission on Audit (COA) report na may P201 Million total accumulated fund sa ilalim ng development fund para sa training at assistance.
Napuna din ng mambabatas sa COA report ng TESDA ang partnership nito sa AMA University and Colleges kaugnay sa P10 Million training programs na may kwestyunableng scholars, teachers at training centers.
Nangangamba naman si ACT Teachers Rep. France Castro sa budget cut ng ahensya na tiyak na makakaapekto sa mandato nito na tulungan ang mga indigent ang mga rebel returnees.
Sa 2020, walang pondo na inilaan para sa Tulong Trabaho Act para sa libreng access sa technical-vocational education.
Bumaba naman sa 6% ang pondo ng TESDA sa P11.85 Billion mula sa orihinal na isinusulong na budget na P19.9 Billion.
