DOJ pinaiimbestigahan sa NBI ang ‘hospital pass for sale’ sa Bilibid
Pinaiimbestigahan ng Department of Justice (DOJ) sa National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang umanoy anomalya sa paggamit ng “hospital pass” ng mga inmates sa New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
Inatasan ni Justice Sec. Menardo Guevarra ang NBA na magsagawa ng case build-up sa naiulat na “hospital pass for sale” na gawi ng mga preso sa Bilibid.
“NBI is hereby directed and granted authority to conduct an investigation and case build-up on the alleged illegal practice of transferring persons deprived of liberty (PDL) to the New Bilibid Prison hospital for monetary consideration,” nakasaad sa Department Order na inilabas araw ng Martes.
Ang hakbang ay kasunod ng report na nakakalabas ang mga inmates sa pagpapanggap na may sakit para makakuha ng “hospital referral official pass” mula sa mga empleyado ng Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).
Kung may makitang sapat na ebidensya ay inutusan ng DOJ ang NBI na magsampa ng kaukulang kaso laban sa mga taong responsable sa iregularidad.
Inutusan din ni Guevarra si NBI Director Dante Gierran na magsumite ng pogress reports ukol sa imbestigasyon direkta sa kanyang tanggapan.
Nabunyag ang anomalya sa gitna naman ng imbestigasyon sa good conduct time allowance (GCTA) kung saan napalaya ang mga convicts ng heinous crimes.
