Duterte igagalang ang SC ruling sa poll protest ni Marcos vs. Robredo
Nangako si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na igagalang ang desisyon ng Korte Suprema sa poll protest na inihain ni dating Senator Bongbong Marcos laban kay Vice President Leni Robredo.
Ayon sa pangulo, kung si Robredo ang ideklarang tunay na panalo ng Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) ay susundin ito.
“We will just follow the law. If the Electoral Tribunal says Robredo is the rightful occupant, then we will just have to follow the final order of the Supreme Court,” ayon sa pangulo.
Ang pahayag ng pangulo ay matapos ianunsyo ng Korte Suprema na tumatayong PET na tapos na ang ballot recount at revision sa tatlong pilot provinces na nasa electoral protest ni Marcos.
Magugunitang noong nakaraang taon sinabi ni Duterte na magbibitiw siya sa pwesto sakaling ang papalit sa kanya ay mga kahalintulad nina Chiz Escudero at Bongbong Marcos.
Kapwa tinalo ni Robredo sina Escudero at Marcos sa 2016 presidential elections.
