Malakanyang pabor na i-repeal ang GCTA Law

Kinatigan ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang ang panukala ng iilan na i-repeal na ang Good Conduct Time Allowance Law.

Pahayag ito ng Palasyo sa gitna ng kontrobersiyal na implementasyon ng GCTA Law kung saan nakalaya ang mga convict na may karumal dumal na krimen.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo, nagaganap ang korupsyon sa implementasyon ng GCTA Law dahil tanging ang mga opisyal lamang ng Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) ang nagpapatupad nito.

Sinabi pa ni Panelo na hindi rin malinaw ang nakasaad sa batas sa pag deterimina kung sinong bilanggo ang may good o bad behavior kung kaya sinasamantala ng tiwaling opisyal ng BuCor.

Pero ayon kay Panelo, sa huli ay nasa pagpapasya pa rin ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kung ire-repeal o aamyendahan lamang ang GCTA Law.
