Filipino film na “Verdict” waging special jury prize sa 76th Venice Film Festival ; Joker, tinanghal na best film

Wagi ang Filipino movie na “Verdict” ng special jury prize sa 76th Venice Film Festival.

Ang “Verdict” ay unang directorial job ni Raymund Ribay Gutierrez sa ilalim ng Center Stage Productions ni direk Brillante Mendoza.

Ang pelikula ay tumatalakay sa domestic violence na pinangunganahan nina Max Eigenmann, Rene Durian, Jorden Suan at ang namayapang aktor na si Kristoffer King.

Ang “Verdict” ay nakatakdang ipalabas sa mga sinehan simula September 13 para sa ikatlong Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino.

Samantala, big winner ang pelikulang “Joker” na nakakuha ng Golden Lion for best film.

Ang nasabing pelikula ay pinangungunahan ni Joaquin Phoenix sa direksyon ni Todd Philips.

Nakuha naman ng pelikulang “An Officer and a Spy” ni Roman Polanski ang Grand Prix second prize.
