Nasa 28 mga convict na napalaya dahil sa maling pagbilang ng Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) ang sumuko sa pulisya sa Cagayan Valley mula September 5 hanggang 6.
Ayon kay Police Lieutenant Colonel Chevalier Iringan, tagapagsalita ng Police Regional Office 2, 17 ang sumuko sa Cagayan, lima sa Isabela, apat sa Nueva Vizcaya, at dalawa sa Quirino.
Nailipat naman na ang mga convict sa Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) sa New Bilibid Prison (NBP) sa Muntinlupa City kahapon, September 7.
Ang pagsuko ng mga dating bilanggo ay kasunod ng pagpapabalik sa kanila ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa loob ng 15 araw dahil sa kontrobersya sa GCTA Law.
