Sumukong convicts na napalaya dahil GCTA, umabot na sa 74
Nasa 74 convicts na lumaya dahil sa Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) Law ang sumuko na sa mga awtoridad.
Ayon kay Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) officer in charge Melvin Buenafe, nasa 38 ang bumalik sa piitan sa BuCor habang nasa 36 naman ang sumuko sa pulisya.
Kabilang sa mga sumuko sina Ariel Balansag at Alberto Caño na dalawa sa tatlong may sala sa panggagahasa at pagpatay sa magkapatid na Marijoy at Jacqueline Chiong sa Cebu City.
Ayon naman kay Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, inaasahang susuko ang ikatlong convict sa rape-slay case na si Josman Aznar sa susunod na linggo.
Bukod sa mga ito, sumuko rin sina Nicanor Naz, Jesus Negro Jr., at Ireneo Busano dahil sa takot na baka mapaslang sila.
Magugunita na pinasusuko ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang daang-daang heinous crime convicts na napalaya dahil sa GCTA Law sa loob ng 15 araw.
