Panukalang gawing national university ang PUP, vetoed ni Pangulong Duterte

Hindi nilagdaan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang panukala na gawing national polytecnic university ang Polytechnic University of the Philippine (PUP).

Dahilan ni Pangulong Duterte, ang PUP ay isa lang sa state universities and colleges (SUC) sa bansa.

Aniya pa, kailangang suriin mabuti ang paglipat ng PUP sa pagiging national university base sa performance ranking nito kabilang ang satellite campuses at extension programs ng unibersidad.

Ang consolidated Senate Bill No. 2124 at House Bill No. 9023 o ang The Charter of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines ay naglalayong gawing national university ang PUP.
