Napanggap na mga empleyado ng BOC huli sa extortion
Naaresto ang dalawang katao dahil sa umano’y pangingikil ng pera.
Ayon sa Bureau of Customs (BOC), nahuli sina Gerardo Bundalian alyas ‘Jerry’ at Noel Panganiban sa ikinasang entrapment operation noong araw ng Lunes, September 2.
Isinagawa ang operasyon matapos makatanggap ng reklamo sa pamamagitan ng 8484 anti-corruption text hotline na isa umanong indibidwal na nagtatrabaho sa BOC-Intelligence Group ang nangingikil ng pera sa consignee na Moriel Trading.
Katuwang ng BOC-IG sa operation ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
Hinikayat naman ng BOC ang kanilang stakeholders at mga empleyado na manatiling mapagmatyag at agad i-report ang mga ilegal na aktibidad sa kanilang ahensya.
