PNP, DOT magsasanay ng dagdag na tourists cops sa buong bansa

Nagkasundo ang Philippine National Police (PNP) at Department of Tourism (DOT) na magsanay ng mas marami pang tourist police personnel sa buong bansa.

Isasagawa ng PNP at DOT ang Tourist-Oriented Police for Community Order and Protection Program (TOPCOP).

Layon ng programa na tiyakin na ligtas ang mga turista at alinsunod na rin ito sa kampanyang “It’s more fun in the Philippines” ng DOT.

Ayon kay Tourism Sec. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, ipapakita ng TOPCOP training ang uri ng serbisyo ng mga Pilipino partikular ang hospitality sa mga bisita.

Pinangunahan nina Puyat at PNP chief Oscar Albayalde ang pagpirma sa Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) na ipapatupad ng ahensya at lahat ng PNP regional offices sa bansa.

Nakapaloob sa programa ang pina-igting na police visibility sa mga visitor areas kung saan magpapatrulya ang mga pulis at maglalagay ng tourist assistance centers at complaint desks.
