Malakanyang, nagpaabot ng pakikiramay sa pamilya Torres
Nagpaabot ng pakikiramay ang Malakanyang sa mga naiwang mahal sa buhay ng yumaong dating Land Transporation Office o LTO Chief Virginia Torres.
Ayon kay Presidential Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr., kinikilala ng Palasyo ang tatlumpu’t tatlong taong serbisyo ni Torres sa gobyerno at publiko.
Nagsilbi sa pamahalaan si Torres bilang LTO cashier sa Tarlac noong 1980 hanggang sa maitalaga siya bilang assistant secretary at pinuno ng LTO noong July 2010.
Si Torres ay nasawi noong Sabado sa the Medical City Clark sa Pampanga dahil sa atake sa puso.
Samantala, sinabi ni bagong LTO chief Atty. Roberto Cabrera na nakatakdang magtungo ang mga opisyal ng LTO sa burol ni Torres anumang araw.
