NCRPO magpapakalat ng 14,800 pulis para sa 30th SEA Games

Magpapakalat ang National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) ng aabot sa 14,800 pulis para tiyakin ang seguridad sa mga sports events ng 30th Southeast Asian Games na magaganap sa Metro Manila.

Sa panayam kay NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, araw ng Linggo, sinabi nitong ang desisyon para sa deployment ng 14,800 pulis ay nabuo matapos ang anunsyo ng Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee na 12 sports venues sa Metro Manila ang gagamitin sa 22 ng kabuuang 56 SEA Games sports events.

Ayon pa kay Eleazar, batay sa Security and Survey Inspection (SSI) ng chiefs of police at station commanders, handa na ang lahat ng venues para sa SEA Games.

Maliban sa Metro Manila, gaganapin ang iba pang sports events ng SEA Games sa New Clark City sports complex sa Capas, Tarlac, Bulacan, Laguna, Tagaytay at Subic.

Ito ang ikaapat na beses na host ang Pilipinas ng regional games at ang huli ay noong 2005 kung saan ito rin ang beses na nakamit ng bansa ang overall championship.

Magaganap ang 30th SEA Games sa November 30 hanggang December 11.

Inaasahang 10,000 atleta mula sa Southeast Asia ang lalahok sa palaro.
