Batay sa datos ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 7 – Central Visayas, ikinasa ang buy-bust operation sa V. Rama Avenue sa Barangay Calamba bandang 6:00 ng gabi.
Nakuha sa nahuling suspek na si Patrick Fred Caballero, 27-anyos, ang mga 12 pakete ng hinihinalang shabu na nakabalot sa mga bond paper.
May bigat ang kontrabando na 30 gramo at nagkakahalaga ng P2,040,000.
Nakuha rin kay Caballero ang isang cell phone at isang sasakyan.
Masasampahan ang suspek ng kasong paglabag sa Section 5 at 11 ng Article 2 ng Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
