Sundalo sugatan sa engkwentro sa Abu Sayyaf sa Sulu
Sugatan ang isang sundalo matapos makasagupa ang mga miyembro ng Abu Sayyaf Group sa Patikul Sulu, Biyernes (Aug. 30) ng umaga.
Nagsasagawa ng security carpooling ang Barangay Police Action Team at ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) sa mga opisyal ng Department of Education sa Sitio Kan Bangsawan, Barangay Kadday Mampallam nang atakihin sila ng mga terorista.
Agad namang rumesponde sa lugar ang mga tauhan ng Philippine National Police pero pinaulanan din sila ng bala ng mga rebelde.
Ayon kay Police Brigadier General Marni Marcos, hepe ng Police Regional Office – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, ang nasugatang sundalo ay maaring tinamaan sa pagsabog ng isang rifle grenade.
Mabilis namang tumakas ang mga rebelde matapos ang insidente.
Patuloy pang tinutugis ng mga otoridad ang mga rebelde.
